I had Zippy out again last night for more training, managed to get him on the stand via the TV and lampshade, I think it might be time to clip his wings now he's getting the hang of flying. We decided against clipping when we got Zippy but now he's being allowed out for long periods I think it might be best and will help with the training. I'll look into this at the weekend and see what needs to be done. I think we'll need to clip one feather from each wing per day and monitor how he's getting on, he needs to be able to flutter down to the ground with a soft landing rather than falling out of the air like a brick.
