Wyming Brook

Flicking through a book we got from the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust we came across a place called Wyming Brook near Sheffield. We never knew this place existed and we don't live all that far away so on Saturday afternoon we decided to pay a visit.

We fell in love with the area as soon as we pulled into the car park and were beside ourselves with joy as we made our way down the the side of the fast flowing stream. After about an hour we had made it about half way down towards Redmires reservoir then turned back because it was getting quite damp and late.

Debbie was in her element with so many waterfalls to shoot surround by beautiful scenery while I kept an eye out for a Dipper.

We can't wait to go back again, early in the morning and with walking boots as the downstream path isn't exactly sandals friendly!

What a beautiful area. Love the photos. All that is missing is the sound of running water :)
It's always nice to find a 'new' untamed area.
