Old Moor

Having spent all yesterday on the sofa, we managed to pull ourselves away to get some shopping done and then spend a couple of hours down at RSPB Old Moor. Debbie hates me lugging the slr with the huge lens around and I must admit, I limit it's outings now to the back garden and Old Moor.

It was absolutely freezing in some of those hides with the breeze rushing across the water and into your face. Still, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and I ended up wanting to go first while Debbie was still snapping away with her little camera. We've bought some more bird food for the best fed garden birds in the country!

All the shots below are Debbie's, you can see mine next door.

Hi Paul & Debbie, good to have you pop by and leave a comment. Great photos, love the long tail tits on the fat block, great stuff. All the best to you and of course Lucy a woof !

My first time to your site. I'll be back again. Such a cute little squirrel and beautiful birds. The goose photos remind me of "Amelia and Abigail Gabble" from the Walt Disney animated feature "The Aristocats!"

Ah, Old Moor. I haven't been there since the floods a couple of years ago. So sad seeing the line where the flood had been. :(

It's a shame it's not too easy for me to get to, and we weren't keen on the paths with pretty much no view taking you from hide to hide.
