Early Spring Cleaning

We've both noticed that it was taking an age for this page to finish downloading, mostly down to adding more and more stuff in the side bar over the years. So I've had a clear out, getting rid of links to pages that fell by the wayside as far back as 2006 and other stuff that slowed everything down.

The only thing this blog needs now are some posts a little more frequently which is realy what blogging is all about. Having flashy things in the side bar and links to every blog related site there ever was is all very nice but it's the posts that count and at the moment it's like reading a diary with half the pages missing.

Being the world's slowest writer doesn't help, just posting a couple of lines here takes me ages, I spend more time scratching my goatee than I do typing (yep, doing it right now!). It's that bad, I'm only doing a couple of posts a week on Twitter, I'll spend half an hour looking for the best mobile Twitter client then go back to the original site any way and still not get round to posting anything.

I'll be glad when we get the new phones in a few weeks time with wi-fi, I've lost count of the number of times I've had a great idea for a post and then found that the mobile network is on a tea break. By the time the signal is back or I've waited half an hour for the laptop to boot up, I've forgotten why I switched it on.
