It was a dark damp and miserable yesterday but the sun did come out just long enough to pop out and take some pictures before poured down again!

Moon

The moon was low over the garden on Saturday night, just had to nip out and try getting a shot with the big lens.

I'll have to try again the next time we have a full moon low in the sky.

Sandsend & Hole Of Horcum

I've been so pre-occupied with the birds over the last few months, it almost feels like I'm guest posting here! Anyway, I took my eye off the Gulls and Oystercatchers long enough for a few landscape shots at Sandsend and the Hole of Horcum on the North Yorkshire Moors.

Sandsend In Black n White

We had a fantastic day at Sandsend yesterday, we managed to set off early, car packed with the essentials eg: Lucy, Paul, cameras, butties and most important COFFEE!!

Arriving early was fantastic, we were greeted with an almost empty beech, it was quite blustery, but very very enjoyable :o)

We have never been to Sandsend before but we will definatley be doing back with a hammer as there is lots of fosiles to dig for.

Wentworth Castle & Gardens

We had a complementary visit to Wentworth Castle & Gardens yesterday, courtesy of Toyota. The weather was fantastic for mid October, all the wonderful colours of Autumn but feeling more like late Summer.
