Eddie & Champagne
Here's Eddie and Champagne!
Eddie has been with us for a while but he was going bonkers in his cage all alone, so on New Years Eve along came his girlfriend Champagne. Now we've got two cockatiels going bonkers!
Eddie loves posing for the camera, always willing to strut his stuff for a flattering shot.
Champagne has got bit more of a cheeky streak and as soon as the cage door is open, she's off!
They're both getting on like a house on fire and driving poor old Lucy to distraction!
Eddie is the more vocal of the the two and tends to sing quite a lot, truth be told, he never shuts up!
Champagne is more playful, manoeuvring round the cage and playing with the toys while Eddie sits on his perch squawking away.
We really weren't sure about about getting Eddie a friend but we're so glad we did because they both seem to be enjoying life to the full, every morning they're perched side by side having had a good nights sleep.

Lucy's New Blue Collar
Debbie bought Lucy a new collar yesterday, it's blue with silver stars and she looks a proper bobby dazzler.

Lucy's In A Trance Again
Lucy mesmerised by something ...
It's that little yellow bear called Pudsey we bought for Children In Need.
He's been driving her to distraction ever since we put him up there lol.

Feed The Birds Day
This weekend we've been out in the garden and got loads more done. We've moved all the rose bushes that were growing in the lawn up to their own rose bed in front of one of the sheds. This has made it much easier to mow the lawn, not having to slalom round all the bushes and spending ages strimming while trying not to take out the roses at the same time. The rockery has gone which was also in the lawn, we won't be getting that awfull grinding noise from the lawnmower any more! After the mowing, Debbie did some weeding in the flower beds and I've got the roots from one of the old trees dug out.
All that remains to be sorted out before winter sets in is the pile of tree branches at the top of the garden. Our neighbour has lent us a metal bin to burn them in, however, for two nights runnning we had nothing but rain so we've not been able to make a start on that yet. It looks like for the first time ever we'll be having a bonfire on Bonfire Night, we're even tempted to go out and get a few fireworks!
Saturday 28th October is Feed The Birds Day, organized by the RSPB. I'm really going to give the bird feeding go this year, we do already feed the birds but all we ever seem to attrract are starlings and that's only if we put those fruity suet sqaures out, the peanunts and sunflower seeds are never touched.
While working in the garden I moved the bird table a couple of metres away from the fence because I think the smaller birds may feel threatened being so close to somewhere cats could easily get to. We picked up a couplpe of new bird feeders on Sunday which we've filled with peanuts, black sunflower seeds and sunflower hearts. I'm also on the lookout for a bigger bird table, the one we've got is a little bit on the small side and it's does look a little bit cramped with all those feeders hanging from it.
Today we’re finally having the roof sorted out, from tonight onwards, it can rain all it wants!
Lucy is just chilling out on the sofa waiting for the roofer to arrive.
I couldn’t resist popping my head out of the door with the camera to catch the gorgeous sunrise this morning.

Busy Bees
What with being on a course, then on holiday, getting Sky+, Big Brother starting, Dad getting a puppy, shopping for laminate flooring, working on our garden and doing a spot of tree felling for friends, we just haven't had a minute to post anything.
While we try to get our breath back, here's a picture of Lucy enjoying the garden last week as the sun finally came out to play.

Buds In The Garden
Our website photo album is now up to date, it's been quite a marathon getting all the pictures on there but it's been worth it to make sure they're always available to view. Now we can start creating more new pages and post just a little bit more often on here!
We had a busy weekend with Debbie's Sister and family coming over on Saturday and Dad coming over on Sunday. It's just as well we had guests and had already abandoned the idea of doing any gardening as we had rain, hail, sleet, snow and frost.
The garden is starting to spring into life though, the unseasonable weather doesn't seem to be affecting the daffodils too much and other flowers around the garden are now staring to bud after their winter break. Lets just hope the weather picks up for the Easter break and just maybe, we'll get the new lawns down before September!

Daffodils doing well in the garden.
Lucy being nosey.
Snow falling on Sunday afternoon.
Sasha, Lucy and Lollypop flat out after all the excitement of visitors.
Lucy playing with her toy in the late afternoon sunshine.
Sunset on Sunday.
The beams of red light were quite unusual.

Magic Snow
We had loads of snow from 8.30am to 11am this morning, it settled on the grass and trees but by 11.30 it was gone! I’ve never known so much snow to melt as fast! Must have been that special Houdini Snow!
So, with no snowy scenes to post, here’s a couple of pictures Debbie took on Sunday…..
Lucy watching telly from the comfort of the duvet on the sofa.
Lucy adopting the old ‘stop mucking about and stroke my belly’ pose.
Two of our four angel fish, I’ve tried and tried to get a shot of these before but I always end up with a blurred photo. I should get some lessons from the expert!

Relaxing PJ Day
While we fight off this flu bug, were taking it easy and having a PJ day. I seem to be pulling through it a little now but Debbie's going through the streaming nose stage which I’ve had for the last two days.
Sasha and Lucy wasted no time getting into the swing of things, hijacking one end of the sofa.
Eric, meanwhile, was busy inspecting the Debbie’s dried flower arrangement, probably checking for dust.
Satisfied that everything was up to scratch, Eric sat down for his photo shoot . . . . tart!

Dopey!
Toddy, not hiding very well!
Blooming spring is on the way.
It's me, thinking about a nice cold pint!
